The first family vineyard was planted way back in 1857. In these lands, the climate, exposure, altitude and aromatic herbs give the grapes a blend of several elements that are essential for producing an excellent and distinctive Rossese wine.
Thanks to the passion of great-grandfathers Gio Batta, also known as “Pà Bacì”, and Stanislao, known as “Pì”, who chose the Arcagna and Cima Tramontina areas as ideal places to cultivate not only vines but, above all, a passion; the same passion that passed from the great-grandfathers to Giancarlo and then to his son Luca, thanks to grandfather Nemu, who was able to pass on his enthusiasm for the past to his grandson.
Arcagna was subsequently chosen as an area of excellence for the production of Rossese, the most representative Cru of the entire DOC, crossed by the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, an ancient path that crosses Liguria from west to east. In these lands, the climate, exposure, altitude and aromatic herbs give the grapes a mixture of several elements that are essential for obtaining an excellent and distinctive Rossese wine.
Moving on to Montecurto, among olive groves, almond trees in bloom and the occasional squirrel, you arrive at a wonderful valley where Pigato reigns supreme and undisputed. The tradition and passion for the vineyard has become a reality by tasting “du Nemu” wine.
